Dear Ascension School Friends and Families,
2013 is already a busy year for Ascension School, and we are only in the first eight weeks! The board and staff continue to take care of the facility, making sure it is ready for camp. In the main office Lisa and I are hard at work learning our new online registration program! Yes, you read correctly, "ONLINE REGISTRATION". We are so excited and we hope you are too! .
The post of summer program director at EDEO's Camp & Conference Center, Cove will be shared by three former campers who also have been members of summer staff: Amy Rooper, St. Paul's, The Dalles; Aaron Tensen, St. Paul's, Nyssa, and Isabel Feibert, St. Matthew's, Ontario.
Our summer camp theme is Faith: The Great Adventure. I hope you will join us on our fun and formation journey at Ascension School.

Ascension news:
The two Music Camps, both new offerings this year, will be led by Brian Fairbanks, associate musician at St. Mark's Cathedral in Seattle, and by Bishop Rivera. Fairbanks directs the Choir School at St. Mark's as well as three choirs, including the Gallery Choir, whose repertoire includes Hebrew, African, jazz and traditional Anglican music. The level of interest in the two new Music Camps offered this June prompted organizers to expand the Worship Music camp for grades 7-12, into an overnight camp. The other Music Camp is for grades 3-6. Both camp sessions are from June 23-28. Enrollment at each camp will be limited to 30 students.
Adult volunteers still are being sought for Beginner's Camp July 14-19, and Combined Camp, July 28-Aug. 2. Check your calendar, this is a fun way to spend a few days.
